Another Fallen Soldier

On May 6th, 2008, Pfc. Aaron J. Ward of San Jacinto, California, died in Al Anbar, Iraq of wounds suffered when his unit came under small arms fire. They were conducting cordon and search operations.

Ward was assigned to the 170th Military Police Company, 504th Military Police Battalion, 42nd Military Police Brigade out of Fort Lewis, Washington.

Aaron was just 19 years old, and had only been serving in Iraq for about 2 months. He is survived by his parents, Paul and Debra Ward.

Aaron, I will miss you as long as I live. I am so proud to be your grandma. It is so hard to believe that you are gone from us and I can't see your big smile again. None of us will ever be the same. You are my HERO! I love you with all my heart.

Aaron, You will be forever missed but I asure you never forgotten, not only an American hero but my nephew. I am so proud to be your aunt and I will miss you for the rest of my life. never to be called Jalupa again. I still cant belive your gone from us , our family is now forever broken. rest eacy my favorite and dont forget I LOVE YOUR FACE... never will good bye only till we meet again.
