About
BEN
Ben was the third child of four, he was the son of John & Linda Cunico, he was the only son they had.
Ben was a happy little boy. He had a strong bond with his mom and followed her everywhere she went. He loved to crawl under trucks with his dad to see how they worked and how to fix them.
Ben was a vey hard worker who had a big heart and would do anything to help others, if he set his mind to something he would be determined to finish wat was started, he was loyal to a fault and when he loved you he loved you. and oh how he loved his old hound dog Cletis - that dog was more trouble than anyone could stand. He was forever digging holes everywhere and climbing fences to escape, Cletis would get out and end up in the pound & Ben would always rescue him. After the first few times in the pound everyone told Ben to just leave him there, but Ben would scrape up enough money to bail him out time after time.
Ben was a quiet shy man, and that became apparent when he began to date. He dated a few girls off an on for awhile until the fall of 1997 when he met his love Christy, they were together two years when they found out they were going to be parents, Ben was so excited! On October 4, 1999 Coy Benjamin Cunico was born, It seemed as if all Ben's hopes & dreams had come true & his life centered on his new born son. Ben would share his love of motorcycles & trucks with his son. One of Ben's happiest times was when he taught Coy to fish, they went many times & to many places. Ben cherished the times he spent with Christy & Coy
Ben loved the outdoors & especially loved to see the sun rise & set. He would often pull his Dad or Nate from work to go outside & share the quiet beauty. Even greater than his love of nature was his love for all his family. As a boy he would sit with grandpa Cunico on the proch and look at the mountains. He was a great brotyher who knew how to get the most out of his sisters, when Amber needed a ride he made her wash his truck befoe she got the ride. Ben loved his niece's and nephews; he took them fishing an d golfing and they remember the time he played with them on the slip and slide, he grabbed them by one arm and one leg and tossed them up and down the slide. Ben had a great admiration and love for his grandma and grandpa, uncle Bob and aunt Sandra, who had gone before him. He would hold Coy and Dyllan and show them the first evening star, and tell them that Grandma, Grandpa, Bob, and Sandra were shineng down on them. Now whenever we see the first evening star, we will know Ben is with them shining down on us.
When we think of Ben we remember his warm brown eyes, his dimples and his infectious shy smile that would melt your heart. Each of us has a special memory of Ben that we will carry always. Even though his life was short, the impact of love that he left will be felt eternally by all those who love him.
