About

About Megan

Megan was born June 7, 1989 in Rota, Spain. Her father was stationed there in the US Navy. When Megan was 3 months old, I brought her back to Texas. She moved around a lot during her early childhood. San Diego, CA-Philadelphia, PA- Dahlgren, VA. She started pre-school and Kindergarden in VA. We moved back to McGregor, Tx when she was in the second grade. In 7th grade she was a cheerleader. Moved to Austin for her 8th grade year where she was a cheerleader at Leander Middle School. She was also a clarinet player in the band. She was in the first class to start her freshman year at Vista Ridge HS where she was a member of the band and HST. As soon as she could she got a job, at Target, then she worked for Pizza Hut, after a short time there she began working for Sonic and this was the job she liked the best and made many friends. Megan had the goal of attending college to be a nurse, but on July 29, 2007 her life ended in a tragic car accident. She is greatly missed by her friends and family. Her funeral was held at New Hope Baptist Church and she was buried in the Crain family plot in McGregor, Tx. Her Great Grandmother(Honey) who preceded her in death the year before was buried with Megan. (Her ashes) This was appropriate as they were very close in life.

Memories

riding the motorcycles

Amanda (Jul 21, 2008)

I was just thinking today of when Megan and I use to take out her step brother's electric motorcycles that were for little kids and we were like 16. It was soo much fun and we would ride all around the neighborhood. One time we got stopped by a cop 'cause it was dark and Megan got so scared... it was so funny! He told us that we needed to get home 'cause we didn't have reflectors on the bikes. Megan's response was, "We're driving on the sidewalk, cars don't drive over here." The police asked if he needed us to escort us home, she quickly was quiet and we went on our way. But what was really bad was we were about a mile away from home. Her motor cycle ended up running out of batteries and she had to push it home and she looked so funny 'cause she was sitting on it and walking at the same time. The policeman came back and asked why were weren't home yet, she was so frusterated she said "We're getting there!" God I love her! We had some of the most memorable fun through high school!

Thinking of you.

BIRTHE. (Jul 20, 2008)

Please accept my deepest sympathies.
I send my prayers to the family.
