Memories of Seamus Casey

My Memory

Lamia (Jun 25, 2008)

Seamus, I have only found out today and i feel so sad, we worked together at Virgin Mobile and there was never a dull moment when you were around, you did soo many funny things, one of those was your 5 second rule, and singing all the time. You were soo cool and im sure that your star is shining brighter than ever.

My Memory

Liz (May 23, 2008)

I worked with Seamus at MetLife and I am very sorry that it was for such a short time. He was such a vibrant personality (funky hat on a Friday) and achieved so much in the short time that he was with us. He is sorely missed. My thoughts go out to Laura and his family at this hard time.

Greatest Opera Singer in Virgin Mobile

Volkan (May 20, 2008)

You will be missed mate. Everytime we heard you singing out loud in the halls, you would make us laugh and smile with your growing tunes.

RIP

My Memory

Anna Wise (May 19, 2008)

I was one of Laura's bridesmaids just four months ago, and Laura and Seamus were the happiest couple anyone could imagine. Both of them absolutely glowed, and it was clear how in love they were. This is a tragic loss, and Seamus will be missed terribly.

Loudest bass in history!

dave whitaker (May 19, 2008)

I used to sing barbershop quartet with Seamus at high school. He would sing bass, and occassionally when he wanted to he used to drown out all the rest of us! In fact he used to drown out the whole male voice chorus! A lovely guy, I was shocked and saddened to hear of his death. I trust He is with the Lord now.

My Memory

Karen Howell (May 18, 2008)

I was shocked to learn the death of Seamus Casey. I always remembered him as such an outgoing bright bubbly and very funny person. I went through school with Seamus, primary, intermediate and high school. My thoughts are with his family at this very sad time. RIP xxx

My Memory

Patrick M. Power O.N.Z.M. (May 18, 2008)

I worked with the brave and funny Seamus on a couple of operas and saw him
ever positive, helpful and considerate. He lifted the mood of anything he was near.
I also had the privilege of helping him with his voice in both Christchurch and Perth and so I
got to see a very thoughtful and serious Seamus as well. He is a great loss.Requiescat in Pace,Seamus.
My love and prayers to you Laura and to Brendan.
Patrick.

A Gentleman and True Friend

Triona Walsh (May 18, 2008)

Dear Seamus,
What a tragic loss for all of us. I am so shocked and upset by your sudden departure. You were a gentleman in every sense of the word. A loyal friend and a generous soul. My love and best wishes go out to Laura and to your family in New Zealand. I will never forget you (or the amazing variety of ways which you managed to hold up your trousers with a piece of rope during Three Penny Opera in 2007! )

Love you so much and will miss you deeply.

A true spirit of love and joy

Emma Sloman (May 17, 2008)

I will always remember Seamus' happiness and infectious sense of fun turning everyone and everything around him to the postive. The special contribution he made to the Opera Factory Boheme gave us a real and touching Schaunard, with stage flair to rival anyone else in the role. I remember the hugs, the chocolate vodkas, the cans of tuna and the trips and falls and the laugh! RIP Seamus with love and thoughts to the Casey family and Laura.

My Memory

Laura Casey (May 17, 2008)

Seamus is my soul mate and I have no idea what life is going to be like without him. It was never, ever something I imagined would happen to such a vital, loving and ALIVE person.

We missed each other when we went to work, for goodness' sake. We didn't like spending even one night apart.

now, we're apart indefinitely, and it's more than I can bear.

It is wonderful, though, reading all the tributes to Seamus. So many people think so much of him, and I'm hearing stories I had never heard before.

Sang and hang out with him

Paul Whelan (May 15, 2008)

Brilliant special person. Loved him. The world is less without Seamus.

Comma's and Apostraohe's

Cat (May 15, 2008)

I worked with Seamus at MetLife in Sydney, and although he was only with us for a very short time, the changes he instituted will be long lasting. Seamus helped to support the team I work in by keeping his team under control and he is the first person I have met who is more stringent than I am with grammar, apostrophe's and comma's.

Seamus, if you could read this I would like to tell you that I am sorry that we were not able to get to know you better, I wish I had known you were an opera singer, I wish I had known you sang, I wish you could have had the opportunity to get to know all of us better too.
