My husband brought a paper to the car today that had Sean on the front cover; and I was so excited and delighted to see his face and how he was doing..until I noticed the dates right below on the right.
I couldn't believe it!! What an amazingly special person he was, and so young.
I first met Sean at Fat Matt's Rib shack when I actually traveled 80% of the time for work but lived in Atlanta. When I walked into Fat Matt's for ribs that night, and I saw Sean and the band arrive; I honestly thought..O they have a few Georgia Tech students trying out their wings on us tonight. Well, I have to say...he got my full attention. I was not even sure if I was hearing what I heard coming out of his body and from his fingers; but
I knew I was seeing something and someone very unique and to be treasured. Needless to say I did not eat my food much that night; because I was impressed with everyone in that band and the fact they looked like my kid sisters friends jamming old peoples session with their spin on it that worked for all ages. What a treat to see an old soul in such a youthful body. I became a groupie if you can call it that; I had to have my Monday and Wed fix and would scoot off to the Rib Shack often without my boyfriend who loved the Ribs but hated the thought of sitting too close with the seating arrangements with strangers. No he's not the one I married ..LOLL The man that won me over, that I am married to now, I actually had the pleasure of having introduced Sean to my then new boyfriend. We bought 2 CD's and had him sign them and was excited because he was beginning to take a long tour..and that was the last time we saw him. I discovered he still lived in town and would play at another location off 75; but our hectic work schedules and frequent absence of never being in the state; my heart breaks..because for anyone who ever met Sean knows he was such a Bright Star and his voice and guitar playing would mesmerize everyone who was in listening distance and even afterwards. You will not be forgotten and you were much and deeply loved.
