What a full and wonderful life. All of us were truly blessed in knowing this great lady... affectionately known as "Queen Mum" to many of us. I am one of the newest members of the family, and I remember the first time I met Shirley, she welcomed me with a kiss and open arms. I was her son-in-law, but she treated me like one of her own. What a warm feeling that was, and it contined every time I saw her. One of the great things about Shirley was her love of laughter... and how contagious that was. It was just a good feeling being around her. We will miss her smile... her kiss... her embrace. These are the things that shined in Shirley, and hopefully we'll be able to carry on her ways. That's what she would want. God has a different path for all of us, and you can rest assured He welcomed her too with open arms, the same way she always welcomed us to her embrace. Heaven is now a better place, for Shirley is there, looking down on us with her loving smile. God bless you, "Queen Mum".
